Michael Green’s love of Land-Rovers began at age-2 when his father joined the Rover Motor Company of North America Ltd, based in South San Francisco. At age 9, in 1967, Michael drove his first Land-Rover near Incline Village, Nevada, and would continue to drive them to this day.

 

In 1972 Michael began racing motorcycles in Dublin; he’d go on to race professionally in both motocross and road racing, winning numerous races and championships.

 

In April 1981 he opened West Coast British; a Land-Rover, British sports car & motorcycle shop. After a number of attempts Land Rover North America employed Michael as an engineer, while there he helped to establish & operate a number of Range Rover driving classes in Southern California & Reno, NV. It was here he came up with the idea for The Off-Road Experience.

 

Since then The Off-Road Experience has been the leading off-road driving school on the west coast. In 1995 the idea of Nevada Trophy came to light, it is still going today!

 

The Off-Road Experience instructors are all outdoors types, many have motorcycle racing backgrounds, all have a love for off-road and sharing their knowledge… and all have been trained personally by Michael.
